MEDIA ADVISORY – Five 91ɬÂþ (91ɬÂþ) students traveled to Kansas City, Mo. this past week (June 24-28) to compete in the 2013 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. 91ɬÂþ enjoyed another successful performance at nationals with a pair of students earning top-10 finishes in their respective competition.
Over 5,900 outstanding career and technical education students joined in the excitement of hands‑on competition in 98 different trade, technical, and leadership fields.
Machine Tool Technology student, Andrew Valley, took home top honors for 91ɬÂþ with a fifth-place overall finish in CNC Turning. Kathryn Jacobson would garner 91ɬÂþ’s other top-10 placing with a seventh-place finish in Computer Maintenance Technology.
Also competing at SkillsUSA nationals from 91ɬÂþ was Greg Tate (Architectural Drafting), Travis Kildow (Diesel Technology), and Michael Tamas (Extemporaneous Speaking).
