Thank you to the students, alumni, family, and friends of the 91ɬ (91ɬ) community who joined us at the arena for a night of hockey and fundraising during 91ɬ Night at the Idaho Steelheads Feb. 28. The evening began with a ceremonial puck drop by alumnus, Miguel Ramirez, and his wife Edna. Ramirez graduated in 2017 from 91ɬ’s Automotive Technology program and is now working at in Boise.
As VIP guests in the 91ɬ suite, Ramirez and his wife were joined by Automotive Technology faculty and representatives from , one of the College’s scholarship donors. Guests had a great time connecting with 91ɬ leadership and staff as well as representatives and board members from the 91ɬ Foundation.
Congratulations to 91ɬ students, Casandra Sanchez and Jeremy Wright, winners of $1,000 SCORE Big Scholarships awarded during the game. Sanchez is currently studying Biology and plans to transfer to to study Public Health. Wright, a small business owner and Studio Art major, also has plans to transfer to Boise State.
“Thank you to the 91ɬ foundation for giving me the opportunity to continue my education,” said Sanchez. “This scholarship was a great way to start my 2020 year.”
Group ticket sales for the event raised a record $925! The funds, presented to the 91ɬ Foundation by Steelheads Senior Account Executive, Steven Anderson, will go directly back to the SCORE Big Scholarship fund.
