Garman Named Athletics Operations Coordinator

Published: August 27, 2026

91ɬÂþ (91ɬÂþ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Garman as Athletics Operations Coordinator.

In her new role, Garman will lead the launch and execution of 91ɬÂþ's intramural and recreation programs, scheduled to begin this fall as part of the College's 2026-2027 Academic Year. She will also provide operations support as 91ɬÂþ continues working toward its vision of establishing varsity athletics. The program will be built on an endowment-funding model, beginning with intramural and recreational sports and adding varsity intercollegiate programs as fundraising milestones are reached.

Garman brings a strong background in college athletics and deep ties to the region.

"Brooke brings unique experience to us not only as a former college student-athlete but also as an undergrad intern and a graduate intern at two different institutions in Idaho," said 91ɬÂþ Director of Athletics Mahmood Sheikh. "Athletics has played a significant role in her life and now she is able to pay it forward by impacting generations of 91ɬÂþ students. Her family has deep generational ties to Southwest Idaho and to sports, making her appointment a homecoming as much as a career milestone."

Garman most recently worked for Off the Field while completing her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at College of Idaho, where she also competed in her final year of collegiate volleyball for the Yotes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Sport and Tourism Management from University of Idaho and previously attended Central Washington University as a volleyball student-athlete.

Her professional experience includes a sales internship with the Idaho Vandal Ticket Office, a graduate internship with College of Idaho Athletic Director Reagan Rossi, and coaching youth volleyball camps. A Caldwell native and graduate of Vallivue High School, Garman's new role brings her back to the community where her athletic career began.

91ɬÂþ Athletics is working to create accessible, student-centered athletic and recreational opportunities. For more information about Athletics at 91ɬÂþ, contact athletics@cwi.edu.
